Our Story

Hi! Welcome to the wedding website of Matt and Raman. You’re probably wondering how we got here. Allow us the honor.

Matt joined Apple Tysons Corner in 2015 and worked his way into one of the store’s most meaningful roles, leading the onboarding and training of new team members. He helped shape the experience for countless new hires until 2018, when he passed the torch to his coworker Taylor. Raman joined that same year, becoming part of the first group of new team members to not be trained by Matt. During her first day of training, Taylor introduced the full group to Matt backstage. Faces, names, handshakes. But in that moment, one face stood out. Something clicked.

When the group broke for lunch, Matt found Taylor. He wanted to know the schedule. Raman was already set to shadow someone on her next shift. Matt found out who, made that person an offer they couldn’t refuse, and swapped in.

The shadow day came and Raman walked up to meet her trainer. “Hi, my name is Raman. I believe you might be my trainer?” was met with “Hi, I’m Matt.” Something clicked again.

That day was short but left an impression on both of them. Shortly after, Matt scaled back his hours to finish his degree and the two lost track of each other for months. When he returned, Raman had already found a group of friends. Matt’s group of friends.Reunited at work, Matt would walk past her station saying “noooodle” in his best Po from Kung Fu Panda voice just to get her attention. Then came his first real move. He walked up while she was with a customer, said “don’t make it weird, but I want to get to know you,” and walked away before she could respond.

From there, what started as coworker small talk turned into long conversations, long drives to grab food, and two people slowly finding their way to each other. From team members to best friends to something more. They both knew, but neither said it, not wanting to risk what they had built.

Eventually someone had to make a move. On March 21, 2021, Raman decided she wasn’t waiting for an answer. She told Matt they were together, and that was that.

Since then, we’ve built a life we’re really proud of, traveling the world, supporting each other’s careers, and cheering on each other’s passions every step of the way.

On December 8th, 2024, it was Matt’s turn to not wait. On a rooftop in Paris with the Eiffel Tower glowing behind them, he got down on one knee and asked Raman to be his forever. This time, he waited for her answer. She said yes.And this September, in front of the people who mean the most to us, we can’t wait to make it official for good.
